Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk 2011

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk is an international social photography event where photographers get together, meet up at one place and walk around capturing the streets or things around, sharing knowledge and generally have fun with other photographers. It takes place on a specific time every year in different cities in the world. The event is free and open to public in general regardless of age, sex, from amateurs/hobbyists to professionals photographers with the objective to bring together photographers of all levels and ages around the world to take pictures, share and promote coexistence among those who agree with the same passion: Photography. This year Scott Kelby’s Photo Walk in Malaysia was conducted and organized by Raja Indra Putra Ismail a.k.a RIPI and was held on October 2nd, 2011. More than 50 participants took part in the photo walk including myself.  The photo walk route is approximately 4.5 kilometres and none of the participants finished the route due to bad weather. Although I didn’t manage to finish the entire 4.5 kilometres route but I complete about 3 kilometres or maybe more than that. We gathered and meet up at Burger King after the walk for lunch and some refreshment. Some photographers and participants shared the photos they took during the photo walk and mingle with each other, exchange photography tips, share recommendations and so on. It was a wonderful experience for me to socialize and get to know other participants who are into the same passion. I enjoyed the photo walk and I hope you guys enjoy the photos too. Cheers.
