Batu Caves

The Batu Caves are situated thirteen kilometres ( seven miles ) north of the capital city Kuala Lumpur. They are the sacred place for the Hindu’s in Malaysia.Batu Caves has a lot of pigeons flying around and it is a good place for me to practice shooting because taking photographs of birds provides a real test of skills and equipment. It was also a good opportunity for me to snap photographs of the Kavadi ( a devotee who had his body hooked with hooks and vels pierched into the skin on the chest and back ).
